Our Banksia Man brooch design has been produced with a minor flaw. A small hole can be seen in the backing layer where the brooch clasp has been placed, and though the hole is common in our designs, for this piece it has resulted in a shadow being visible when looking at the design from the front. The visibility of the shadow when looking at the piece, from varies from piece to piece. Due to this fault (visible shadow) we will be listing the piece on ERSTWILDER.COM at $34.95 rather than our regular $39.95 RRP

“That big Captain, with his scrubby and bushy eyebrows, was - who do you think? He was the biggest and baddest of the Banksia men.” The Northcott Society and Cerebral Palsy Alliance 2019
Each piece is made from laser cut and layered resin, hand assembled, hand painted and released in limited quantities. As all of our designs are lovingly glued, assembled and painted by hand there can be finger print marks and very slight variations and blemishes from piece to piece. Due to the hand mixed nature of the resins in our our designs it is also common and normal to find tiny flecks or bubbles in the resin layers. All in all this just makes each piece as special and unique as you are.
Brooch clasps, necklace chains and jump rings are made from silver-plated steel. Earrings hooks and posts are made from high quality, hypoallergenic stainless steel.
Please be aware that resin is akin to ceramic and glass and therefore may be damaged if dropped or knocked. Due to the use of high-quality silver-plating in our brooch clasps, tarnishing and oxidisation can occur, producing black and gold discolouration. As with all silver products, you can simply restore it using a silver cloth. Keep your Erstwilder companion neatly tucked away in this box when not being worn, avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, water and excessive sunlight and you’ll have a trusted friend for years to come.
Banksia Man has come to work with me (secondary school) and has received a high Teenagers of Greater Melbourne approval rating.
From the online shopping platform through to prompt delivery and with lovely, sturdy packaging my Erstwilder experience has been excellent.
Other pins in my modest Erstwilder collection receive compliments each time I wear them. I couldn't reccoment Erstwildering highly enough!
A quirky addition to showcase our Australian history. It will be worn with pride.
I recently went to the Blue Mountains and remembered how much I loved the Banksia men from the stories. This looks perfect - I especially love how shady he looks. My order arrived very quickly and was even better than pictured.
I love the size and how whimsical your pieces are. I have a huge collection now.
Very happy with my brooch but so disappointed that the latest series has sold out and now selling for over double the price on eBay. I know that’s not your fault but is there a chance you will be releasing any more Peter rabbit
Many thanks Vernice
I never lash out on myself but I saw this guy and it was love at first sight...I harred and hummed, I got an email saying he was lonely in my cart so did it. Once he arrived...very quickly after, he found place on a beautiful curly haired cardi which now I want to wear every day. He reminds me not to sweat the small stuff.
Oh my word where to start?! The shipping is SUPER fast (ordered on a Sunday, received it on the following Tuesday) the package was very well put together (including a handwritten note ("You're purrfect") on a cute little postcard), and the packaging of the brooch is adorable. And the brooch itself! It's a work of art, the textures in the resin are gorgeous and the design is absolutely beautiful! Jackalopes are my favourite mythical/folklore creatures, and I'm so so happy to be able to wear one this cute! ❤❤❤❤❤
This brooch arrived recently and I’m already in love! The picture is true to colour, although I was pleasantly surprised to see the tiny flecks of blue glitter reflect in the flower part as well, which adds to the dimension. Very happy with this, looking forward to wearing it at an upcoming international conference!
Love the design, although the fabric is a little too silky for a head scarf if that makes sense? It’s really tricky to fold and tie without it slipping straight off your head. Really cute worn as a neckerchief though
