USA Shipping Updates
Update - Thursday 23rd October 06:00am AEDT
We’re pleased to share that there are some encouraging signs regarding the proposed 100% tariff increases on goods imported into the United States. While nothing is confirmed just yet, recent developments suggest that a delay in the implementation of this additional tariff, or even a reduction to the proposed tariffs, is looking more likely.
We’ll continue to monitor the situation closely while we wait for a formal U.S. Government announcement, expected early next week (around October 28th), but out of an abundance of caution we will go ahead with the planned temporary pause on US orders later today, from 9:00 AM (AEDT) Thursday 23rd October 2025.
We’re feeling optimistic that this pause will be brief. As soon as we have confirmation — hopefully positive news — we’ll be ready to welcome our U.S. community back with open arms.
Thank you for your patience, understanding and kindness through all of these changes. We'll keep you posted!
Update 13th October 09:30am AEDT
The US government has recently announced plans for a new 100% tariff on top of those already in place, to take effect on Saturday 1st November 2025. These tariffs aren’t yet law and could still change, but if they go ahead as proposed, this will make it extremely expensive and difficult for us to continue offering shipping to the USA.
Importantly, we want to be clear that until the new tariffs are implemented, nothing changes! The current $49 AUD shipping and tariff flat fee will remain in place, allowing you to continue shopping with confidence and certainty, knowing that the price you pay at checkout will be the final cost of your order.
We continue to work hard on exploring long-term solutions, but if these new tariffs are implemented or still unclear, we’ll be forced to pause accepting U.S. orders from 9:00 AM (AEDT) on Thursday 23rd October 2025. We will review this over the coming days and confirm any changes by this date.
An important update regarding Recommended Retail Pricing (RRPs) for Erstwilder USA Stockists - Tuesday 30th September 2025
With the current tariff situation, as a brand, we are very conscious of keeping our prices as affordable as possible, along with ensuring we support our USA stockists too, so they can continue to stock Erstwilder given the increased ongoing costs they now incur. Going forward, RRPs for USA stockists will be increasing by approximately 14%, for all new designs on sale from Wednesday 1st October 2025 (AEST). This change will not be reflected on ERSTWILDER.COM, with pricing remaining the same (charged in Australian Dollars based on Australian RRPs) and a $49 AUD shipping and tariff flat fee on all orders. This means that wherever you choose to shop as a US customer, product prices are as aligned as possible. As with all these matters, we will continuously review and adapt as changes may arise. Thanks for your understanding and support as we navigate through these times.
USA Shipping Update – Tuesday 23rd September 2025
With Australia Post resuming shipping to the USA, we’re working to review and implement the best possible shipping options for our US community and will provide further updates on this ASAP.
At this stage, we will continue to offer US shipping via DHL E-Commerce, with a Shipping & Tariff flat fee of $49 AUD for all orders (subject to review). This fee ensures no additional charges will be payable on delivery, allowing you to shop from erstwilder.com with confidence.
For more information please read the initial update shared below.
An update on USA shipping as of 9th September 2025 09:30am AEST
Behind the scenes, we’ve been working hard to find the most stress-free and efficient way to resume delivering your orders. While we are still working through the best permanent solution, we’re happy to share we have found a shipping option that enables us to resume accepting orders to the USA, effective immediately.
This shipping service will be available as a 2-week trial.
Please read the below important information:
WHAT WE KNOW:
Australia Post has not resumed USA shipping yet, as they are still working on its new US solution which will allow precise tariffs to be calculated and collected at checkout.
We’re confident the solution is coming soon, and this will be the best and most affordable long-term option for everyone.
WHAT WE’RE DOING NOW:
We’ve re-opened US shipping with DHL E-commerce.
Delivery times are currently averaging 6 - 10 business days.
We will charge a flat fee of $49 AUD for all US orders, which covers shipping, tariffs, taxes and duties. We will not be able to offer a free shipping threshold for US customers during this time.
Importantly, you will not need to pay any additional fees on delivery. This new flat shipping fee means you can rest assured that we will take the responsibility for all tariff compliance.
WHY THIS SOLUTION:
We’ve explored how other businesses here in Australia and around the world are responding. Some have increased their product prices for US customers, and others leave you responsible for taxes, duties, and tariffs. Neither of these seemed acceptable to us.
Our intention is to ensure that ordering with Erstwilder remains easy, straightforward, and free of any unexpected surprises (additional charges) that can hit you after placing your order.
After the 2-week trial, we will provide an update on next steps (23rd September), as the shipping flat fee may need to be revised (either up or down) as we review tariff charges over time.
Our promise is to keep the information clear, accurate and timely, so you always know exactly where things stand. We’ll continue to monitor developments closely, and you can count on us to share updates with you as soon as we have them.
FAQS
Will the same shipping and tariff fee apply, regardless of my order amount?
Yes, at this stage, we can only offer a flat 'Shipping & Tariff' fee of $49 AUD for all US orders regardless of total order amount. To be transparent, this is to mitigate our own business risk, while we monitor how and when tariffs will be charged (as this is still unclear). Offering a flat fee enables us to ensure you, the customer, have no further risk or unexpected charges on delivery, allowing you to order from us with confidence.
Why is this only a 2-week trial?
As this is a new process, we need to review if this shipping solution is viable for everyone. If we can offer a cheaper flat fee, we will. Likewise, we may need to consider a higher flat fee depending on how tariffs are charged in reality once we resume US shipping. We have always been transparent with our Erstwilder community and will continue to do so in real time.
Why can't you offer a free shipping threshold?
As a small business, we simply can't afford to absorb US tariff costs at volume. We are hopeful we can provide a solution in the imminent future that will allow us to offer a free shipping threshold to our US customers again.
How much is $49 AUD in USD?
$49 AUD (Australian Dollars) is approximately $33 USD (United States Dollars) based on the current exchange rate 9th September 2025. As exchange rates change in real time, we highly recommend checking online (such as Google) for the most up-to-date information.
What do I do if I experience delays with my order?
DHL E-Commerce are advising average delivery times of 6-10 working days currently. It is possible your order takes slightly longer to arrive whilst the postal services cope with the demand, so please allow up to 14 business days for your order to arrive. Past this point, please contact our customer care team via this form. Please note, 30 days must pass before DHL-Ecommerce will allow an investigation to be lodged.
