Back in 2018, then Erstwilder illustrator Sally Land was deep in the world of ‘Out of Africa’, a much-loved original release that many of you will still remember.
During that process, we also set out to create a series designs originally intended to become Wall Art pieces. We illustrated, reworked, and prototyped, but ultimately, never produced.
Never sold, never replicated, existing nowhere else in the world, they've lived quietly in the Erstwilder office ever since.

To further celebrate our End of Financial Year sale, we're giving away these three original Wall Art prototypes to three lucky winners!
Given these are pre-production samples, each piece will come packaged securely, but will not be packaged in the kind of designed product box we’re known for. They also have some minor marks and scratches, as well as holes on the reverse sides from testing hanging components. That said, they remain one-of-one pieces of Erstwilder history and are perfectly suitable for bringing joy to the walls of your home.

Entries open at 7:00am AEST Monday 22nd June 2026 and close at 7:00am AEST Tuesday 23rd June 2026. To go in the draw to win one of three Erstwilder original sample wall arts, customers must place at least one order on ERSTWILDER.COM. Every product in the order counts as one entry in the competition. The three winners will be selected at random, within 24 hours of the giveaway closing. Erstwilder will contact the winners directly at the email address attached to their order. The winner has 48 hours to accept the prize. If the winner does not claim the prize within the specified time frame, they will automatically forfeit the prize, and another winner will be drawn. Any products or orders returned, cancelled or refunded will be withdrawn from the competition. Please note, as it is a sample piece, the wall art does not come with a standard product box and may have minor imperfections or signs of use.
