Our short-legged marsupial mate here had been hand-assembled from selected textured resins and features hand-painted details. Usually found in forested, mountainous, and heartland areas, this particular wombat will be right at home pinned on your warmest cardigan or blouse.

STORY

He?s fast when he wants to be, but our Patrick generally prefers a more placid pace. Keep on plodding Patrick.

Each piece is hand assembled, hand painted and released in limited quantities. All designs are made from layered resin. As designs are produced from original illustrations and are hand assembled, hand painted and hand finished, there may be minor differences from piece to piece, making each as unique as the those who wear them. Metal components used in creating this piece include a beautiful and strong silver-plated steel brooch pin. Any earring posts, earring hooks, necklace chains and jump rings used for this piece are made from silver-plated steel.

Designs come packaged in Erstwilder gift boxes.
CARE

Please be aware that resin is akin to ceramic and glass and therefore may be damaged if dropped or knocked. Due to the use of high quality silver-plating in our brooch clasps, tarnishing and oxidisation can occur, producing black and gold discolouration. As with all silver products, you can simply restore it using a silver cloth. Keep your Erstwilder companion neatly tucked away in this box when not being worn, avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, water and excessive sunlight and you’ll have a trusted friend for years to come.

Info
Each piece is made from laser-cut and layered resin, hand assembled, hand painted and released in limited quantities. As all of our designs are lovingly glued, assembled and painted by hand, there can be very slight variations and blemishes from piece to piece. Due to the hand-mixed nature of the resins in our designs, it is also common and normal to find tiny flecks or bubbles in the resin layers. All in all, this just makes each piece as special and unique as you are.

Brooch clasps are made from plated brass. Components have changed over time and older designs may be made with other materials. If you have any questions at all, please email the team at hello@erstwilder.com.

Designs come packaged in Erstwilder gift boxes.

For Dad

My Dad was Patrick. He most definitely did not have a pot-belly, but I love Pot-Belly Patrick. It's even better than it looks on-screen and I think of Dad when I wear it. The packaging is lovely if you are giving the brooch as a gift, but I feel that it's overkill if the brooch/es are for myself.

Love love love my new Erstwilder!

Have just added Pot Belly Patrick Wombat Brooch and Bouncy Burrow Dweller Bilby to my daughter's collection. First time buying direct online. I was super impressed with the speed of delivery and the care taken with packaging.

Together we can do a lot!

Our native animals are suffering so badly. In this time of unprecedented crisis it’s not enough to just cry and sigh. Thank you to Erstwilder for announcing two days where all money raised from sales went to where it was most needed. I shopped. Patrick for me is now a reminder of how precious our native wildlife is, how our innocent animals have and are suffering, how more than a billion animals have perished in the horrific fires. I wear my Patrick the pot bellied wombat, and see the little sparkles amongst the brown. This darling wombat brooch signifies loss and hope. It will always be a reminder of the time when people rallied together across the world to help Australia. The time when so many items were made with love here and across the globe, all made with love for our burnt joeys, koalas, possums, bats and of course our wombats ( I too was a part of this ). Since I received my wombat brooch, people notice him, and conversations begin, more people want to help. I love my Wombat brooch. Wombats have always been my favourite native animal. I love them. Thank you.

I really loved the wombat brooch for my daughter who was ecstatic. Just disappointed so many others were out of stock or I would have purchased more. Love the quality & that you give back to worthwhile charities.
