STORY

Come, sit for a spell. There is plenty of room on the broom. Let me take away all your gloom.

INFO

Original Designer Stephanie Buscema

Height 70 mm x Width 40.4 mm

Each piece is hand assembled, hand painted and released in limited quantities. All designs are made from layered resin. As designs are produced from original illustrations and are hand assembled, hand painted and hand finished, there may be minor differences from piece to piece, making each as unique as those who wear them. Metal components used in creating this piece include a beautiful and strong silver-plated steel brooch pin. Any earring posts, earring hooks, necklace chains and jump rings used for this piece are made from silver-plated steel.

Designs come packaged in Erstwilder gift boxes.

CARE

Please be aware that resin is akin to ceramic and glass and therefore may be damaged if dropped or knocked. Due to the use of high-quality silver-plating in our brooch clasps, tarnishing and oxidisation can occur, producing a black and gold discolouration. As with all silver products, you can simply restore it using a silver cloth. Keep your Erstwilder companion neatly tucked away in this box when not being worn, avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, water, and excessive sunlight and you'll have a trusted friend for years to come.

Which Witch Brooch

I chose it for my friend Aster's birthday as she loves the colour purple and it suited her personality. She was so excited to receive it as I had gifted the purple poppy a few days before while I waited for the witch. She pictured them all together and posted the badges box and all for envious family and friends to enjoy.

I Love These Brooches

I have worn pins on jacket and sweater lapels for years. I prefer 1940s galalithe and Bakelite to most contemporary things for their style and whimsey so I was really excited to stumble upon Erstwilder brooches. They are charming and unique. The colors of resin and attention to detail in the design is what separates them from other contemporary jewelry makers. My sole complaint is the quality of the pin back/finding itself: The little keepers/catchers often snap off by the fourth or fifth wear; sometimes on the first. The special edition brooches for holidays are among my favorites since, as a teacher, I can wear funky stuff and no one thinks I am unprofessional, merely eccentric. I also like the Pete Cromer collaborations because they are true to a particular artistic vision and are generally animals I have never seen in NYC. Of all the things Erstwilder makes, however, the cardie clips are the most fun and garner the most comments from students and colleagues. Considering I have severely depleted my retirement saving on the last two launches (Cromer/Christmas and Peanuts) I think I must by now qualify as totally addicted.

Which Witch is Perfect

I went back a week or so after the release to buy Which Witch because I really regretted not getting her with my initial purchase. I am thrilled with how cute she is. She completes my Kitchen Witch collection and I will treasure her always.

Just Gorgeous!

Love, love, love my little kookaburra! The colours and detail are amazing, and always he arrived in the most delightful packaging. I often have kookaburra's in my front garden, so buying this little guy was a no-brainer!

Pretty and practical

Pretty useful for down and leather jackets to avoid putting holes in the fabric. It holds on well, but I’m conscious of knocking my brooches about too much with the straps of my backpack while out and about; so I don’t loose them on public transport in case the magnet doesn’t hold on. Thumbs up overall.

Kooka is king

Gorgeous kookaburra brooch. Not too big and not too heavy. Lovely colours.

Not Your Garden Variety...

The Jocelyn Proust/Erstwilder release is a sensation and the Protea is a standout amongst standouts!
From the delicate pink to the robust red in the flower framed by blue, blush, and rust leaves it is a triumph.
Accompanied by the usual amazing customer service, you can't go wrong.

I loved it so much I bought another for my friend

I loved this brooch so much when I bought it on the day of release that I bought another one for my friend's birthday and she loves it as well! So much in fact I saw photos of her wearing it onstage at an open mic on the weekend. Such a beautiful collaboration.
